What Past Participants Say

I enjoyed this course so much. Each week, I was so excited to learn new things regarding my mental health. This course provided me with the information and strategies I need in order to be successful...I gained skills for a healthier mind and a community that will hold me accountable to complete the strategies we learned during the course. Christina was so great and made the course fun and effective. This course changed my life and how I view mental health. I feel better prepared to face any situation that may affect my mental health.

The most effective part of the course was the group conversations. It was a very open and safe environment. Also, the content was very relatable and relevant. I liked how it was research-based, but still easy to understand. I enjoyed that the course allowed me to reflect on my life and made me want to take more action.

This course opened my eyes to mental health. As someone who always has a leadership role, being silent helps no one and it builds up over time. Avoiding mental health and your emotions may seem ok at the moment, but it will always bite you back. All the tactics I learned I will always try to use in my daily life and I will always refer back to the course

Christina Broderick is a clinically trained Licensed Social Worker, a Psychotherapist, a Certified School Social Worker, and an Adjunct Professor, who is passionate about ensuring mental health becomes a priority for all. Christina has worked across the entire lifespan, from elementary-aged students to the older adult population, all covering a wide array of needs and challenges. Having a professional background in program coordination and management, as well as clinical support and services, Christina has been able to blend her experience with her expertise to work with clients internationally. Her passion stems from first-hand frustrations she experienced with the gap that exists in foundational mental health concepts and skills for all. Too often we wait until issues become alarmingly difficult for us to handle to then seek assistance. She wants to change that. We all should learn, understand and take proactive action for our mental health and the mental health of others. While treatment is imperative for mental illness, providing knowledge, skills, and resources for wellness is equally important for all of us. We all have mental health and should work together to be proactive when we can and comfortable seeking help when needed. Christina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish from La Salle University in Philadelphia and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston University. She is a proud first-generation college graduate, first-generation Jamaican-American, and first-generation business owner. Christina has been featured in Voyage LA, HealthiNation, Thrive Global, and numerous podcasts. She also created her own six-episode podcast on Student Mental Health.
